The Wheeler Downtown Airport quickly faded into the background as Kansas City Police Chief Darryl Forte took a ride in the back seat of a F/A-18 Hornet on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, with Blue Angels pilot Capt. Jeff Kuss. The Blue Angels will perform Saturday and Sunday at the Kansas City Aviation Expo & Airshow at the downtown airport. (Video courtesy of Blue Angels)

Unusual for such a large commercial size jet to land at the GA airport, Typically it is a sports team visiting.
Our pitch from KCSW.
Not only does it look too big to use this runway, but it takes off in a surprisingly short distance! This was taken from Gate 1 in the VML offices at the Downtown Kansas City Airport. I believe these planes were in town for President Obama's visit.
